🛣️ You’ve probably come further than you think

Hello Reader,

I’m writing today’s newsletter on the train, having spent the last two days in Birmingham for the final residential of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB programme.

It’s been an amazing couple of days and I’ve been so inspired by the other 70 founders I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with. It’s also been a great opportunity to pause and reflect on my own journey and how far I’ve personally come in the last few years.

It’s something I think we all forget to do often enough.

I know I’m guilty of always running towards the next thing, working towards a big goal or thinking about the next project.

But acknowledging what it’s taken to get us to where we are today is also hugely important. Maybe you’ve had to overcome a challenging period in your personal life, have taken a leap of faith leaving the world of employment or your business has grown faster than you ever imagined.

If you haven’t stopped and reflected on that journey recently, take 10 minutes to grab a cuppa, sit back and acknowledge just how far you’ve come.

And feel free to hit reply and tell me too, I’d love to celebrate with you!

Finally, if you’re juggling work around childcare next week or taking some time off for the half term break, remember how awesome it is that we get to set our own schedules and make life work around our businesses! 💪

🎙️ NOT “Just” a VA!

In this week’s episode of the Visionary VA Podcast, I’m talking about one of the most damaging habits in our industry: minimising what we do and the real impact we have on businesses.

You are not “just” a VA.

You’re the organiser, the problem solver, the communicator, the person holding things together behind the scenes.

Confidence doesn’t usually come before the action - it comes because you did the scary thing anyway. If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready” before raising your rates, pitching yourself or showing up more visibly in your business, perhaps this is your sign to stop waiting for permission. 💛

See you next week

Hi Reader,Can you believe it’s July already? That means we’re officially halfway through 2026, making this the perfect time to pause, reflect on how far you’ve come and decide where your focus should be for the second half of the year.As business owners, we're often so busy chasing the next client, the next project or the next milestone that we rarely stop to acknowledge what we've already achieved. Yet taking stock is one of the most valuable things you can do.So, before you dive into the...

Helloo! If you’re in the UK (or anywhere in Europe in fact), I hope you’ve survived this week’s heatwave. My coping methods have included the fan being on when at my desk, keeping the blinds closed and plenty of ice-pops throughout the day! 🥶 Anyway, back to business. With another change of Prime Minster on the horizon in the UK, you might be wondering what this means for your business. Right now, it’s probably not very much. Whenever there’s political or economic uncertainty, it’s easy to...

Hello lovelies,I’m back home after a fab few days in Newcastle for Atomicon ’26. It’s been a hectic week but great to catch up with so many of you (sorry to those I didn’t manage to grab a pic with, I’m pretty rubbish at remembering to get my 📸 out!). For those of you who don’t know what Atomicon is all about, it’s a sales and marketing conference you can attend virtually or in person and there are a ton of sessions with some awesome speakers as well as a ton of virtual events throughout the...
