🎯 What if you focused on just one thing?

Hello lovelies,

I’m back home after a fab few days in Newcastle for Atomicon ’26.

It’s been a hectic week but great to catch up with so many of you (sorry to those I didn’t manage to grab a pic with, I’m pretty rubbish at remembering to get my 📸 out!).

For those of you who don’t know what Atomicon is all about, it’s a sales and marketing conference you can attend virtually or in person and there are a ton of sessions with some awesome speakers as well as a ton of virtual events throughout the year.

Highlights for me this year were:

⭐ catching up with so many of our amazing VA community (obvs)

⭐ hearing Shawn Kanungo talk about how to implement AI in our businesses while retaining deep human, caring interactions

⭐ really helpful advice from Liz Mosley on podcast strategy and growth

⭐ Jo Bird on attracting the right clients with uncopiable brand positioning and injecting personality into your business.

My biggest takeaway was hosts Andrew and Pete reminding us of the power of focusing 90% of our efforts on doing just ONE thing remarkably well.

I’ve already booked my ticket for Atomicon ’27 which takes place in Manchester on Friday, 2nd July. If you’d like to come along, you can grab an early-bird ticket here (affiliate link) and note tickets are fully refundable up to Feb '27 in case you change your mind. Boom!

🎙️ New podcast episode: Building a VA business that survives school holidays

School holidays are just around the corner, and if you're already wondering how you'll juggle client work, childcare and everything else, this week's podcast episode is for you.

Drawing on eight years of experience building a business alongside raising children, I'm sharing why the goal isn't just to survive school holidays, but to build a business that can withstand them.

I cover planning ahead, communicating with clients, building margin into your business and letting go of the idea that every season has to be about growth.

Because a truly sustainable business isn't one that only works when life is quiet - it's one that works alongside real life.

📃 Legal documents updated

Last week I sent out an email to everyone who has previously purchased one or more of the following legal documents; Website Bundle, Data Processing Agreement and the Associate DPA.

These documents have been updated in line with the DUAA legislation changes which come into effect from tomorrow, Friday, 19th June.

If you didn't get this email, please check your inbox (sometimes these things go into spam!) and if you can't find it, hit reply and we will send you a copy.

See you next week!
Holly x

Helloo! If you’re in the UK (or anywhere in Europe in fact), I hope you’ve survived this week’s heatwave. My coping methods have included the fan being on when at my desk, keeping the blinds closed and plenty of ice-pops throughout the day! 🥶 Anyway, back to business. With another change of Prime Minster on the horizon in the UK, you might be wondering what this means for your business. Right now, it’s probably not very much. Whenever there’s political or economic uncertainty, it’s easy to...
